About John & Dody

It all started at a KOA…

Yes, as a matter of fact, John & Dody did have a Minnie-Winnie.

It was July 4th weekend, 1976.  The country was celebrating its bicentennial, but John & Dody Martin were about to get a phone call that would change their lives.  Country gospel legend Floyd Sears was scheduled to perform at Plymouth Rock KOA that weekend, but due to an emergency could not make it.  Floyd called John & Dody and asked them to drive to Massachusetts to fill in for him, and the rest is history.

Since that serendipitous 1976 concert, John & Dody Martin have gone on to sing in hundreds of campgrounds and RV resorts around the nation. From New England to the Rockies, from Texas to the Southeast, John & Dody have continued to find that folks in every part of the country appreciate their unique blend of Christian music styles, including Southern Gospel, Gaither classics, and Inspirational Contemporary.

Next Stop: Florida

In 1982, John & Dody expanded their campground tour substantially when they decided to join the snowbirds in Florida for the first few months of the year.  Now, over 30 years later, John & Dody still spend the first part of every year performing in campgrounds and RV resorts all over the Sunshine State.

Concerts with John & Dody are free of charge (they travel on a pass-the-hat basis), entertaining, and uplifting.  No matter the size of your park or its rec hall, John & Dody would love to come and share a concert with you.  Schedule a date today!  Email them at concerts@johnanddody.com or give them a call, toll free, at 1-800-8-MARTIN.
